Buscot Park
A National Trust property that is located near the town of Faringdon, why not take a trip to the beautiful grounds of Buscot Park this Easter holiday. Boasting a wonderful collection of pleasure gardens, including a water and walled garden, Buscot Park even has its very own tea-room for you to enjoy a refreshing drink as you admire the divine grounds. Encompassing a magnificent stately home that dates back to the 18th-century, Buscot Park possesses a wealth of history which can be explored throughout both the house and gardens.
Oxford Botanic Garden & Arboretum
Most famously known as the UK’s oldest Botanic Garden, Oxford Botanic Garden & Arboretum is both a stimulating and exciting way to learn about and experience Oxford’s botanical history. Including a variety of exotic plant species, why not take a trip around the botanical glasshouses and expand your plant knowledge. Filled with medicinal plants and taxonomic beds, the walled garden is another wonderful aspect of the grounds for you to investigate.
Blenheim Palace
Based in the historic town of Woodstock, Blenheim Palace is a wonderful Oxfordshire estate, designed with an array of glorious gardens and grounds. This Easter they have a delightful selection of family-friendly activities taking place, such as their ‘Easter Eggstravaganza’ event. Running from Friday 7th-Monday 10th April, why not head down to their walled garden to find a variety of Easter themed events. Including activities ranging from mini golf, egg trails and even the opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny!
Rousham House and Gardens
Located in the village of Rousham in North Oxfordshire, you can find the hidden gem that is Rousham House and Gardens. Opening from 10am, these charming countryside gardens are a wonderful place to relax and take in the fragrant floral surroundings. Suitable for children over 15, these tranquil gardens are a secluded alternative if you are looking for a more peaceful garden escape. Walk through the bowling green, and admire the vast lawns and statues, with a variety of paths for you to choose from you can experience the gardens at whatever route you wish to choose.
Waterperry Gardens
This April, why not hop along to Waterperry Gardens and hunt down the Easter Bunny! Located near the village of Wheatley, Waterperry’s enchanting ornamental gardens are currently home to the ‘Big Easter Bunny Hunt’. Running from 1st-16th April, this event is great fun for your little ones. A superb day out for parents too, why not take a gentle stroll around the gorgeous gardens and orchards.
